Sarah’s Summer Cocktails
Summer is almost here, meaning it’s time for fruity, refreshing cocktails. We’ve rounded up our favorite, easy-to-make summer drinks that will impress at any event or get-together.

Limoncello Spritz
Maybe it’s just us, but there’s nothing more refreshing than lemon.
Ingredients:
- 2 oz Limoncello
- 3 oz Prosecco
- 2 oz Perrier or club soda

Watermelon Margarita
Regular or spicy, it will knock your boots off every time.
*Makes 4 drinks
Ingredients:
- 3/4 cup Tequila
- 5 cups cut watermelon
- ½ cup lime juice
- Ice
Instructions:
Rim glasses with salt or Tajin. Blend all ingredients, pour into rimmed glasses with more ice, and garnish with lime.
*Want to make it spicy? Slice up 1-2 jalapenos (depending on your taste) and soak in the tequila for 15 to 30 minutes before mixing drinks.
Orange Rose Mimosa
The appeal to this one is the cool “ice” cube. You’d be surprised how easy it is to make these fancy orange roses to take your mimosa game up a notch.
Ingredients:
- Orange slices
- Orange juice
- Champagne or Prosecco
Instructions:
Cut orange slices into half moons, then place 2-3 orange slices in a large ice cube tray in a “rose” design. Pour orange juice around slices then freeze.
Place a frozen orange rose in a glass and pour in Champagne or Prosecco.
Dirty Martini
It’s not Sarah’s drink roundup without her favorite, a Dirty Martini.
Ingredients:
- 2 ½ oz Vodka or Gin
- ½ oz Vermouth (dry)
- ½ oz olive brine
- 2 – 3 olives for garnish
Instructions:
Add your gin or vodka, vermouth and olive brine over ice in your shaker and shake for 40 – 60 seconds.
Strain through a mesh strainer into a chilled glass, then garnish with a few olives.
