How to do the Duvet Burrito Roll Method: 7 Easy Steps With Video

Stuffing a duvet insert inside a duvet cover (especially by yourself) is not an easy task. There is so much shaking and fluffing and stuffing involved, and the insert often ends up all twisted and doesn’t reach the corners, even with all that effort. We’ve mastered the art of the duvet burrito roll, and we’re here to teach you how. 

It’s the easiest way to insert a duvet into a duvet cover all by yourself. 

How To Do the Duvet Burrito Roll:

1. Wash and dry your bedding (it’s not the @gocleanco way unless it’s clean to start, right?).
2. Flip your duvet cover inside out and lay it on your bed. 
3. Lay your duvet insert on top of your duvet cover, lining up the corners and smoothing it out. Tie up the corner ties of the duvet cover and insert if you have ‘em. If your duvet doesn’t have ties, consider getting some duvet clips (USA) (Canada) to hold the corners in place. This method will work with or without them, though.

4. Starting at the end opposite the opening, carefully roll up your duvet burrito toward the opening, keeping the cover and insert together. Try to keep it lined up, rolling each side at the same pace.
5. Once you get to the end with the opening, grab the corner of the duvet cover and the duvet insert and pull it inside out so it wraps around itself. Don’t overthink this part. 
6. Now, unroll the burrito! 
7. Lastly, do up any fasteners at the bottom, and give it a shake to fluff it up. You’re done!
