The Best Cordless Vacuums of 2025, Tested by GoCleanCo
Cordless vacuums keep evolving, and the promises keep getting bigger. Every brand swears they have the strongest suction or the smartest features, but we want to know what actually works in a real house. That’s why we test vacuums the same way we clean, using real life messes like popcorn, pet hair, long human hair, and everything that ends up along the baseboards.
After a full round of hands-on testing in November 2025, we found clear winners, a few solid middle ground options, and two vacuums we can confidently tell you to skip.
Quick reminder: Cordless vacuums shine on hard floors and day to day messes, but they cannot replace a corded vacuum with a proper beater bar. Carpets need corded power to remove deep down dirt. Use your cordless for maintenance, not your main clean.
Our Top 2025 Cordless Vacuum Picks

1. Tineco Pure One A50S
Best Overall Vacuum of 2025
This vacuum took first place by a landslide. The Tineco Pure One A50S combines excellent suction, a large dustbin, a bright 120 degree laser, and one of the most convenient under furniture features we have ever used. The foldable tube is a game changer.
What we loved:
- No hair tangle
- Great edge cleaning, 10 out of 10
- Powered upholstery tool for stairs and sofas
- Bendable arm for low furniture
- Lightweight and easy to put together
- Strong suction and excellent pickup on both large and small debris
- Ideal for pet homes
- Very easy to empty
This is Sarah’s favourite and feels very Dyson V15 Detect in terms of visibility and performance.
Would we buy it?
Yes, without hesitation.

2. Bissell PowerClean FurGuard
Best for Pet Hair
This vacuum has incredible suction and stands up by itself, which we love during cleaning sessions. It picked up popcorn better than expected and stayed tangle free during the hair test.
What we noticed:
- Amazing suction
- Self-cleaning brush roll
- Powered upholstery tool
- Bright floor headlights really highlights dust and hair
- Small bin size, so frequent emptying for larger homes
- Loud, but the performance makes up for it
- Not the easiest to assemble
Would we buy it?
Yes, especially for pet owners.

3. Shark Vertex Pro
Best High-End Runner Up
Powerful, flexible, and capable, the Shark Vertex Pro performed well across the board. It has a bendable pole and strong edge-to-edge cleaning, but it is the heaviest, loudest and most expensive vacuum we tested.
What stood out:
- Excellent edge cleaning
- Flexible stick function is great for low furniture
- PowerFins and strong brush roll design
- Good emptying system
- Upholstery tool is not powered
- Heavier, louder, and not cheap
Would we buy it?
Yes, but we would still choose the Tineco first.
The Rest of the Lineup
Budget Brand
Best Budget Cordless Vacuum (Under $150)
This is the inexpensive vacuum that surprised us. It is thin, light, and better than expected for quick cleanups. Perfect for dorms, apartments, and anyone who wants a cordless broom that does not live on a charger.
Key notes:
- Great on hard floors
- Not amazing for carpet
- Runs continuously without needing to hold a trigger
- Simple to empty
- Not an established brand, so long term durability is unknown
- Edge cleaning was low (3 out of 10)
Would we buy it?
Yes. Great for the price and perfect for small spaces.
Kenmore DS1030
Disqualified for Poor Performance
The Kenmore has a dustbuster feature we liked and an easy cut nozzle for tangled hair, but the performance simply did not hold up. The suction, sealing, and overall build do not meet the standard expected for whole home cleaning.
Why it was disqualified:
- Very low edge cleaning (1 out of 10)
- Modest dust cup size
- No powered upholstery tool
- Not airtight enough for homes with allergies or heavy shedding
- Not premium-level filtration
- Better as a backup tool than a primary vacuum
Would we buy it?
No.
Bissell CleanView XR 300W
Disqualified for Value (Overpriced for What You Get)
This vacuum is not terrible and it does have a powered upholstery tool, but the price does not match the performance. At this price bracket, you should have standout suction or standout features, and unfortunately, this model offers neither.
Why it was disqualified:
- Hair and debris stuck to the wheels
- Too low to the floor, struggled with large debris
- “Tangle free” did not deliver
- Small bin size
- Touchscreen controls look nice but don’t add cleaning value
- Not enough performance for the price
Would we buy it?
No. Better options exist for less money.
2025 Rankings at a Glance

How We Test Cordless Vacuums
Our vacuum reviews are based on the same real world messes we clean professionally.
Popcorn Pickup Test
Shows whether a vacuum lifts large debris or just pushes it.
Hair Tangle Test
We use long hair to check whether the brush roll actually stays tangle free.
Edge Cleaning
The baseboard test matters. Many vacuums fail here.
Under Furniture Reach
Bendable arms score high because they save your back.
Ease of Emptying and Filter Access
If a vacuum is annoying to empty, you won’t use it. Simple as that.
Noise and Weight
Nobody wants a screaming banshee attached to their wrist.
Final Thoughts
We still have not found the perfect cordless vacuum, but two remain at the top of the GoCleanCo leaderboard:
Both deliver visible, reliable results and work well across most surfaces.
